Australia Education Trip
About a week ago , me and the whole 8th grade dcp students went to Tasmania for an education trip . Education trip is a field trip or excursion is a journey by a group of people to a place away from their normal environment.
Friday, march 9
All of us gathered at school at around 9am.We put our suitcase and our bags inside a bus and thenwe went to Soekarno Hatta airport in Jakarta at around 10.30am. It was very boring , so we played lots of mobile games like mobile legends and rules of survival. Finally we arrived at Soekarno Hatta airport at around 3pm and went to Melbourne at around 7pm.
Saturday , 10th march
Finally we arrived on Melbourne. I was very excited because it was my first time going to Australia with my friends. We were very disapointed when we knew that we were late and the plane already took off. Virgin air was responsible for this so they divided us into 3 groups , the first group will go at around 2pm, the second group will at around 4 and the last group will go at around 7. Virgin air put me on the first group , so i arrived on Tasmania at around 4.15. When i arrived there, i was surprised because the temprature was very very cold.
Sunday , 11th march
We went to a small church near the village with our host parents at around 9.30. The church was small and looked kinda old. We then went to a beach for a BBQ lunch . We also went to Mount Nelson and Mount wellington. The scenery there was very beautiful. We also took tons of pictures for school's documentary thing. We then ate pizza for dinner and went back home.
Monday,
At that time , we went to upper derwent valley to see salmond ponds , dairy and sheep farm. It was the first time I saw cows being milked with machines. We then ate our packed lunch from our host parents at Mount Field National Park.
Tuesday, 13th march
On that day , me and my friends went to Mount Nelson Primary School. We were amazed because the school there was very very big and has complete facilities . Every students have a laptop provided by the school. After that , we went back to SCC and studied for a while and then went back to our host parents.
Wednesday, 14th march
We didn't really do anything on that day, all we did was just a small performance and study. I studied guitar at that time . It was my first time playing a guitar.
Thursday , 15th march
On that day , we thought that it was going to be boring but we were surprised when sunddenly the teacher told us that we were going to do shopping. So we went to a mall and we did a small challenge. The challenge was kinda easy actually. Basically , all we need to do was just to interact with the people there. I bought a couple of things there. After we went back to SCC and played basketball until 3 pm and then went back to our host parents.
Friday , 16th march
That day was
very amazing because we went the University of Tasmania. On that university , we did alot of things such as 3d printing. We learned how to use 3d printer. It was my first time touching a 3d printer. We also ate pizza for lunch. It was the best pizza I had ever tasted. The pizza was very dlicious because there were lots of cheese and bacon on top of it. After that , we learned about car's engine and then we went back home.
Saturday, 17th march
We went to salamanca market.Salamanca market. Salamanca market is a street market in Salamanca Place, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It is a major tourist attraction in Tasmania, and is held on Saturdays between 8.30am and 3.00pm.We tried lots of foods there. I tried a pork sausage wraped grilled bacon and then put on top of a white bread. It was very delicious. But we were disapointed because we couldn't try all the foods there. We only given like 30 minutes there. We then went to Tasmania musem and art gallery. We saw lots of weird animals and fossils. We also took alot of pictures there and then went to Bonorong wildlife Sanctuary. We saw kangaros , tasmania devil and koalas there. We then went to Richmond Village and Wicked cheese. I didn't buy any cheese there because i wasn't interested to buy cheese there.
Sunday, 18th march
We went to another church we our host parents. The church was big and more modern than before. We went to that church because the preacher was my host parent's relative. We then went to a house and ate some new foods. We ate some crackers and cheese. It was very delicious. We then went back home and ate ramen for our lunch. We also watched guardian of the galaxy 2 with our host parents.
Monday 19th march
I woke up very early like around 5am and then took a shower there. I packed up all the things and I went to SCC for an official farewell photo and went to Hobart Airport. We checked in and put our luggage and then we went to Melbourne. When we arrived on melbroune , we met our tour guide. They helped us carry our luggage and finally we went to an outlet mall . Some of my friends bought awesome shoes but i didn't buy any because I think it was too expensive for me.After that we went to BrightonBeach and took some photos there. We also went to the shrine of remembrance which was a place to remember the Australia soldier and then we went to our apartment to spent our day.
Tuesday 20th march
We started our day by doing alot of things like playing games and many others. Me and some of my friends went outside the hotel and we found a computer shop thing. I bought a ram and some other computer parts. The price there was abit cheaper than in Indonesia. We then went to mekong vietnamese to eat our breakfast. I ordered a bowl of sliced beef pho. I never ate pho before so i enjoyed it. After that , we went to University of Melbourne and Trinity college. At night , Me , Enzo, Justin,Patrick and some of my friends went outside and found a restaurant. The restaurant was called nandos. We ordered a roasted chicken that cost around $48 for 4 person so around $12 per person. There is no nandos in Indonesia so we really like the food. We then to 7 eleven to buy some food and we met Indonesian people there. We talked to them for a while and then we went back to our hotel.
Wednesday 30th
Tha day we had to go back to Indonesia. We packed our suitcase and we went to Melbourne airport.I was happy and sad at the same time because I still wanted to spend more time there but I also wanted to go home to meet my parents.Finally we went to Bali.We arrived at Ngurahrai international airport at around 1 or 2 pm and we bought some drinks. We then went to Jakarta and arrived there at around 3 or 4 pm. The temprature there was kinda hot unlike Tasmania. We put our luggage into the bus and got into the bus and we went back home to Bandung.
