After resident evil 6 misfired by going all-in on mediocre action, resident evil 7 : biohazard wisely brings back to what first defined the series : survival horror. On top of RE7 recapturing the sense of dread and suspense from the earlier games , it's cleat that P.T. was also huge inspiration : you now explore the world of first person, and the environment are suitably dark and dingy.
2.Halo Wars 2

Halo wars wasn't that great in its first release, but it was good enough- that we're curious about the sequel. Hopefully, Halo wars 2 will take a less dumbed - down approach to the console RTS genre than its predecessor
did, because the original was a bit too basic — to the point where it
didn’t have a ton of replay value. The game will have two factions, the
UNSC and the Banished, and the campaign will have thirteen missions.
There will also be an Ultimate Edition version that includes a DLC
season pass, access to the game four days early, and a copy of Halo Wars: Definition Edition,
an enhanced version of the first game. Here’s to hoping that it’s a big
enough release, content-wise, to fill the current void of RTS games on
consoles.
3. Tekken 7

While Japan has already been enjoying the fast-fighting gameplay of Tekken 7 in the arcades, we’re all awaiting its PS4/Xbox One/PC debut in the west. We’re told that it will hit retailers at some point in 2017, although we surprisingly don’t have an official concrete release date for the popular fighting game just yet. The new game will introduce Rage Art and Power Crush, two new mechanisms that make the franchise even better. All of the latest game trailers for it look great, and we’re on the edge of our seats for a release date.

Having torn the Greek pantheon asunder, Kratos (now sporting a scruffy beard) has set his sights on a new mythology to conquer: Norse. The fourth main entry in the legendarily brutal PlayStation series - God of war - drops the numbering and looks like it'll force Kratos to control his endless rage, as he acts as the father figure for a young, as-yet-unnamed boy with latent lightning powers. Don't worry, you'll still slay plenty of fantastical creatures along the way - but expect a lot more character development and quieter moments in between all the carnage.

For honor was also revealed at E3 2015, and it’s safe to say that it pretty much stole the show. Not one single person thought Ubisoft would bring anything new to their show, but For Honor looks like nothing else we’ve played before. There are three factions (Knights, Samurais and Vikings) facing off against each other in 4 v 4 battles, with both teams in a match also facing their enemy’s army. They had us at samurais.

If you’re not new to Nerd Much?, you might have noticed a slew of Persona 5 articles
here. Clearly, we’re incredibly excited for its release — so much so,
that we picked up the Japanese import in September and have been playing
through it entirely in Japanese. We have no idea what the hell is going
on, but man, is it fun! We’ll be picking up the game again in 2017 when
it releases on Valentine’s Day (you know, so that we can actually
understand the story). For now, know that the gameplay has a lot of
depth, and there’s plenty to do in this JRPG.

The first Star Wars Battlefront from last year
didn’t do too well critically, despite the fact that it contained some
cool ideas. In 2017, EA will try to make a more formidable offering to
gamers and Star Wars fans.
It’s likely that they’ll offer a more complete game that will include a
beefy single player campaign, especially when you factor in EA’s
critical success with Titanfall 2 (which also had its first game sans a single player mode and then added it the second time around).
